The Soul Behind D’Arca
I’m Diana, a Colombian multidisciplinary artist in South Florida. D’Arca is where faith, family, heritage and a lifelong need to create come together through tattooing, beauty and visual art.
Faith & Roots
My faith is the foundation of the way I understand purpose, beauty and creativity. I believe the ability to create is a gift from God, and with that gift comes the responsibility to use it with intention, gratitude and care.
My Colombian roots, Indigenous ancestry and Latin identity are also part of the way I see and create. Nature, color, rhythm, texture and pattern are not simply references I add to my work; they belong to the visual language I grew up surrounded by. Through D’Arca, faith and heritage become part of the same conversation: remembering where I come from while continuing to discover who I am becoming.
My Renaissance in Color
My Renaissance in Color is a tribute to an era from which every artist has inherited countless elements. It is my opportunity to bring my own passion, vibrant color, into the textures, symmetry and visual language I have admired since childhood.
Through D’Arca, I reimagine the Renaissance by adding new layers of meaning through color, texture and experimentation. The work looks back to what came before, but always with the intention of proposing something new. Those vibrant colors become a world of their own, shaped by my Latin identity, my experience as a tattoo artist and, above all, my lifelong love of art. D’Arca is where that desire to create becomes not only an artistic vision, but a way of life.
Family & Artistic Roots
Before D’Arca became a name, it was already being shaped by the people who shaped me. My mother was one of the first people who truly believed in the artist in me, and a part of everything I create will always be in her honor.
My children remind me constantly of love, resilience and the beauty of becoming; they are part of the reason I continue to grow, create and believe that more is possible.
My husband believed in me in seasons when believing in myself was difficult. Through his love, support and faith, he helped me grow closer to God and has walked beside me through much of the transformation that made me the woman and artist I am today.
I believe some people are placed in our path by God with purpose, chosen not only to walk beside us, but to stay, guide us, and become part of who we are becoming.
Ángela, an art historian and branding specialist, helped me reconnect with the little artist in me, the one that had grown quiet after losing my mother. She brought art and color back into my life, reminded me to believe in myself again, and has helped give language and direction to the world of D’Arca.
Lina, an architect, has a gift for bringing perspective, form and possibility, not only to spaces and ideas, but to my life as well. Through her advice, she helps me give shape to thoughts, see new paths and imagine possibilities I may not have seen on my own. Both have guided me creatively and spiritually through some of my hardest and happiest seasons. They, along with every person I honor here, are truly a blessing in my life.
From Beauty to Skin to Canvas
My path has moved through beauty, skin and art, from licensed cosmetology and tattooing to professional certifications in permanent makeup and scalp micropigmentation (SMP).
Each discipline has taught me to see the human body through color, proportion, composition and detail. The medium may change, but the intention remains the same: to create with care, precision and purpose.
Your Story Through Art & Light
D’Arca is built around the idea that art can hold meaning, transformation and light. Every person brings a story, and my role is not simply to place an image on the skin, but to listen, understand and create something that feels intentional, personal and true to who you are.
Cover-ups hold a special place in that philosophy. They are not about erasing what came before, but about understanding it, respecting what is possible and creating a new visual chapter with purpose.
